Merry Christmas

Hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and a very happy new year 2017!

I made this card using strips of paper (in different widths) in reds and greens. I used a piece of copy paper and added double sided adhesive sheet and then stuck down the strips. Stamped the greeting. Then I die cut circles and heat embossed a design in liquid platinum. Then I die cut a tiny label out of gold paper so that I could make the circle into an ornament.

Card for Ellen Hutson “Calling all Artists” Pin-sights challenge

I made this card for the “Calling all Artists” and hope it works.

I just had a piece of 5 3/4 X 4 1/2 inch Essentials by Ellen cardstock. I used distress inks in  peacock feathers, picked raspberry, crushed olive, seedless preserves, salty ocean, and mustard seed with masking to make different sections of color. Then I stamped flowers from Clearly Besotted miniature florals in versafine and heat embossed them with clear embossing powder.  I next stamped the hello from Altenew superscript stamp set and gold heat embossed it. I also added the happy and for you from the miniature floral stamp set. Then I took a 6 1/4 X 4 3/4 inch folded white card base, added scor-tape around each edge and pressed on gold deco-foil for a shiny accent. I glued the flower panel on top and my card was finished.

A little Christmas

imageI made this to list on my etsy shop along with some others.

I used some pattern papers from paperwishes in a red dot and green print. Then I used some scor-tape to about the middle of the card so I could rub on some gold deco foil for accent and added some ornament cardstock stickers from my stash. I tied some twine to the tops of the ornament stickers to finish and stamped Merry Christmas at the top in black ink.

Freshly Made Sketch #239

I made a card to try out a sketch again.

I really like doing these and I love the sketches.

I took a 5 1/2 by 6 inch folded card,  covered it with some pattern paper I had on hand and added another piece that matched the color of the background. Then I used a wreath die, (from my stash) cut it from another piece of pattern paper and glued it down.  I stamped the greeting on a square of silver pearlized card stock with versafine black ink and clear heat embossed it. I tucked it into the wreath and glued it down.  Then stamped on a few butterflies to finish it.

I can’t wait for the next sketch.

Freshly Made Sketches #237

Hello, I tried one of these for the first time and it was fun. Hopefully I will get to do more.

I made a simple thank you card. I started with gray card stock and put it on a white card.

Then I stamped a flower from a Clearly Bessotted set in white pigment ink and embossed them in clear. Then I stamped the one in the middle again but embossed with white detail powder.  I stamped the Thank you in silver pigment ink and embossed with clear. Then I added it to a strip of black and glued it down.  That simple.
